Would you like to get some paid experience working on a project with one of our teams at City Hall?

What an internship at City Hall means

An internship is an opportunity for someone to work for a set amount of time, on a clearly defined project or programme of work.

Our scheme will give you valuable work experience in your chosen area of work. You will develop the important skills you need to help you start or change your career.

We also use internship placements as a way to assess you for future job opportunities at City Hall. Many of our interns go on to secure further employment both inside and outside our organisation.

How to apply

Our internship vacancies are advertised on our current vacancies page.

The details

Our internships are:

  • offered for a fixed period of time, from 1 to 6 months
  • available on a full-time or part-time basis
  • paid at the London Living Wage
  • subject to normal recruitment processes in terms of advertisement, application process, pre-employment checks and terms and conditions of employment. See our how to apply and job benefits pages for more information
