Eat Like A Champ
Eat Like A Champ (ELAC) is a free healthy eating web based educational resource designed for Y5 primary school children. Schools need to register at www.eatlikeachamp.co.uk by 15th November 2015. When schools register they will receive access to online resources. In addition to this, all schools registered for Healthy Schools London will receive a free toolkit containing hardcopies of the resources including stickers, card games and homework booklets. This school year, Eat Like A Champ will be starting on Monday 25th January. From 22nd January, schools will be guided through 6 weeks of activities via the resources on the ELAC website. ELAC are developing a tracking tool for schools to monitor and evaluate their health eating activity. Healthy Schools London will be working with ELAC during this school year in specific schools in 5 pilot Boroughs (Ealing, Hillingdon, Brent, Havering and Kingston) to gain feedback on the tool, with a view to making it available to all schools in the 2016/2017 school year.
