Healthy Schools events across the London Boroughs

Healthy Schools London: Kingston launch event 

On Monday 25 November 2013, Deputy Mayor of London, Victoria Borwick presented the first Kingston school with their Healthy Schools London Bronze Award. Hosted by the Leader of Kingston Council, Liz Green, Kingston Healthy Schools held a launch event to encourage schools across the Borough to get involved in the Healthy Schools London programme. Children at Burlington Junior School looked after chickens, collected the eggs for cooking lessons, and grew fruit and vegetables in an allotment for the school kitchen. Now the school has received a Healthy Schools London Bronze Award. Victoria Borwick, Deputy Mayor of London, presented the school with its award in a ceremony at Kingston’s Guildhall, and helped to launch the local Healthy Schools Kingston programme.

Introduction to Healthy Schools London: School Briefings at City Hall

These introductory sessions are mainly for schools and interested parties who work with schools to find out more about Healthy Schools London. All sessions are held at the Greater London Authority, City Hall, The Queen's Walk, London SE1 2AA. These session are free. Throughout the Autumn Term 2013, the Healthy Schools London Team at the GLA: Liz Prosser and Alison Stafford supported many local Healthy Schools Leads with their launch and training events. The following Boroughs held events during the Autumn Term:
